Job Description
Do you have experience writing embedded software in C++? Do you love space and want your code to travel there? Do you enjoy collaborating with others? Are you the engineer on your team who takes the initiative to reach out first? Come join our team of engineers on an 18-month space program developing both a payload and a ground station to launch existing capabilities into orbit.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Active secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • 6+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably with C++
  • Demonstrated initiative to communicate and collaborate across a distributed software team
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent education


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with HW, FW and SW integration and test
  • Experience integrating existing software into new frameworks and platforms
  • Familiarity with the space domain, software-defined radios
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and software factories with automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
