The Role
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Systems Engineer with deep expertise in application and integration development across end-to-end source-to-pay technologies. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of Block's global procurement technology stack, driving transformation from intake orchestration to purchasing and payments workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business strategy, leveraging innovation to streamline procurement operations and enable long-term growth.
You Will

  • Lead the discovery, design, development, and adoption of procurement solutions across the organization.
  • Provide technology leadership and strategic guidance to business leaders, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Drive integration and optimization efforts to enhance procurement efficiency and scalability.
  • Roll up your sleeve and dive deep to solve problems as they arise.
  • Lead technology roadmaps and architectural improvements.
  • Configure, develop, test, and deploy system changes and enhancements.
  • Lead system testing and validation, including user acceptance testing and end-to-end testing.
  • Manage applications like Coupa, OneTrust, Certa, Orchestration tools etc and their integrations with Oracle ERP, Legal systems etc.


You Have

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in architecting and implementing procurement technologies like Coupa, Oracle-ERP and its integration with peripheral systems like Docusign, TPRM, Certa.
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of Intake Orchestration > Sourcing > Contracting > Procurement > Invoicing > Sourcing > Catalog Management workflows.
  • Experience integrating business objects such as Suppliers, Accounting Elements, Users, POs, OK2PAY, Payment etc.
  • Technical knowledge of coupa procure-to-pay, including its integration with ERP systems
  • Experience in any middleware tools like Mulesoft or DellBoomi for data integrations is preferred.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into system designs and specifications.
  • Experience with agile methodologies is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
