- Review customer specifications and requirements to select and price equipment, provide quotes, answer
- customer inquiries, assist in sales presentations, and closing orders.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standards, operating and maintenance
- instructions, white papers and procedure manuals

- Ability to apply common sense and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram
- form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
- situations.

- Provide direct support to existing customers to identify their needs and help solve their problems
- or complaints. Work with Field Sales and internal resources to develop new customers within
- the defined market
- Promote team efforts in selling by acting as the internal advocate and liaison for TECO Westinghouse
- Motors (Canada) Inc. (TWMI) Field Sales and customers. Internally coordinate
- TWMI's Sales approach across all parties in the procurement process: EPC, OEM, Distributor,
- and User. Conduct correspondence and negotiations with customers and TWMI
- Provide Customer Service, inside sales and technical support to our National Canadian
- customers for TWMI’s motor and control products
- Train and provide technical guidance to teammates, as needed
- Utilize TWMI’s SAP system to perform stock checks & order entry functions, create reports, and
- verify order entries daily
- Provide and implement ideas to further the growth and development of TWMI’s presence in the
- marketplace
- Review of customer generated general RFQ’s, provide quotations per company guidelines
- Interpret and review of customer supplied RFQ’s, specifications, application or engineering
- documents and details. Understanding of related NEMA MG1, CSA or other specifications for
- electric motors Compiling the required information and preparing a quotation from the factory
- price guidelines or requesting required Engineering quotation from factory
- Work with the project management personnel, offering support and guidance when needed
- Prepare the technical document that transmits the customer order to engineering
- Maintain negotiation records, cost and price. Negotiate motor inquiries. Gain proficiency in the
- order entry process
- Assist with customer presentations and assemble complete technical/commercial proposal data
- on time. Provide marketing literature to customers as needed
- Gain product knowledge on all products
- Follow sales plans and strategies
- Be cognizant of antitrust laws and company policies
- Become familiar with customers’ business practices and procedures as they relate to assigned
- duties
- Comply with all Company policies, including Company ISO 9001 Standards and Company
- Safety procedures
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- Increase technical competence and develop professionally for Sales Representative
- responsibilities
- Other functions as required (non-essential functions)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 5-7 years related experience and /or training with electric motors
- or Industrial Products; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ME/IE Engineering background strongly preferred
- Computer knowledge required
- Microsoft Office proficiency is a must
