About the role
We are looking for experienced developers who are well versed in building out custom Shopify themes and modifying pre-existing themes. Our developers work closely with internal teammates to scope new functionality requests as well as support sales to scope new projects. The ideal candidate knows how to seamlessly flow between various projects, timelines, and internal and external stakeholder requests. We highly value effective communication and time management skills and our developers, in particular, are required to have a high level of attention to detail. What you'll do
- Actively work on the development, migrations, and technical implementations of Shopify projects
- Architect and deliver technical solutions for unique and diverse brands - balancing business requirements, goals, timelines, and technical implementations
- Scoping and estimation of projects - communicating solutions with clients and internal teams on a frequent and regular basis
- Evolve engineering best practices in service to rapid, high quality releases delivered to clients on time and on budget
- Proactively staying on top of emerging technologies and creating ways to implement into our processes as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, project managers, account strategists, QA, and others on the development team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a front-end developer
- 3+ years experience with Shopify Plus custom theme development
- High level of familiarity and comfort with agile development process
- High level of familiarity and experience with git processes and workflows
- Proven success architecting, scoping, and delivering enterprise Shopify solutions
- Recent experience working with Shopify’s various APIs
- Experience integrating custom app integrations including the creation of Shopify apps
- High sense of ownership and accountability
- Well-versed in modern engineering practices
