The Line Manager will ensure high-quality delivery, drive continuous improvement, enable engineers' career growth, and coordinate with product, systems, hardware, verification, operations, and architecture stakeholders.
This role combines technical capability with AI transformation leadership across DevOps, CI/CD, and enterprise engineering ecosystems.

The salary range for this position is
• Mississauga, ON: $136,000 - $178,500
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan : Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

What you will do
- Lead and grow a high-performing software team (individual contributors, senior engineers and co-op students), including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, performance management, promotions and career planning.
- Own delivery commitments and timelines for the team's software products and components; remove impediments and ensure predictable, high-quality releases.
- Partner with project office, product management, system architects, hardware, verification, and other global stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and technical approaches that align with ESOA and company's goals.
- Ensure robust engineering practices: design reviews, code quality standards, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and incident response procedures.
- Drive technical vision for the team's portion of the software stack; advocate for emerging technologies, scalable and maintainable architecture and reasonable technical debt management.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure team health, delivery performance, reliability, and product quality; report progress and risks to stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, continuous learning, and inclusivity across the cross-functional group.
- Manage resource allocations for the line as required.
- Interfacing with various stakeholders in global setting to plan, budget, manage, maintain and evolve our ESOA and other PDU Orchestration products with great focus on effectiveness and efficiency.
- Participate in cross-team planning, dependency management, and initiatives to align multiple teams' work across the division.
- Maintain a dynamic lab environment utilizing allocated space efficiently for verification of Market Requirements/MRs and to maintain product quality. This includes providing budget input for lab enhancements, working with Ericsson lab support and Networking teams.
- Maintain a dynamic test case automation environment for product test coverage utilized as part of MR development while also leveraging the Ericsson Quality Assurance teams.

Qualifications:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field. • Proven leadership experience in running and improving software build, test and development. • Solid understanding of Production Systems and Development Environments. • Experience managing technical people or teams and delivering reliable, sustainable solutions. • Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, problem-solving approach. • Hands-on experience with common build, test and deployment tools, automation practices, and cloud-based environments. • Background in change management, incident handling or cross-team coordination. • We welcome applicants who are curious, collaborative and committed to continuous improvement.
