About The Role

Here at Invisible we know that if you have a DevOps team,  you’re not doing DevOps. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in the SRE and DevOps space. Our ideal candidate is someone who doesn’t want to set up a CI/CD pipeline or Helm Chart themself, but provide documentation, guidance, and repeatable mechanisms for our developers to do things right. Additionally, our ideal candidate is someone who is just as at home administering a kubernetes cluster as they are coding a new backend service.

What You’ll Do

  • Working on our cloud architecture
  • Optimizing and advising the broader engineering team on optimization techniques
  • Ensure the data layer of our deployed services run smoothly
  • Working on the requirements for designing deployments for new applications
  • Setting up our infrastructure

What We Need

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture including the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, etc)
  • Understand underlying networking and security considerations when developing the architecture of our deployment environments
  • Strong understanding of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL) and be comfortable optimizing and advising the broader engineering team on optimization techniques to ensure the data layer of our deployed services run smoothly
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks such as IAM, Security Groups, RBAC, etc.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and be able to point to deployments they have architected or managed
  • Strong understanding of the operating model of Kubernetes and be able to explain the requirements for designing deployments for new applications
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

What’s In It For You

We believe in recognizing exceptional work with exceptional benefits. That’s why we empower our Partners to work remotely around the world on a schedule that suits their lifestyle. Our Partner Pay Model is fully transparent and designed for co-ownership, recognizing that professionals have unique needs. We balance profitability and growth by reinvesting annual profits to fuel expansion and fairly compensate our partners. With over 65% ownership already in the hands of our partners, we are committed to achieving 100% partner ownership. Moreover, our leadership team is legally obligated to buy back partner shares according to a formal liquidity plan. This ensures a clear path for those who choose to sell their stake in the company.

Compensation:

  • Base: $150,000
  • Base + Bonus Target: 185,000
  • This role is eligible to participate in Invisible’s equity plan.

The amount listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
