Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Engineer Full Stack or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Engineer Full Stack or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Designing, developing and troubleshooting engineering tooling platforms leveraging infrastructure architecture disciplines; Designing and developing microservices using Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate technologies; Implementing APls using REST, JSON; Building java projects using Maven build toolsets; Performing data analysis, data structuring and query optimization using SQL /Oracle and other relational databases; Containerizing software applications using Docker, build using Jenkins and deploy to container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes on AWS Cloud Services and private cloud; Performing scripting using Shell and similar scripting languages on Linux, UNIX and Windows environments; Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions leveraging Agile principles and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Analyzing logs on log analytics platform such as Splunk; Using source version management systems like GIT; and Building and executing test cases using Junit and Cucumber to ensure highest system's quality.
