The successful candidate will build scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation solutions across the entire software development lifecycle, including unit, functional, integration, API, regression, UAT, performance, and production deployment validation testing. This position combines traditional QA disciplines with modern AI-assisted testing practices to improve efficiency and software quality within an Agile Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities

Working on behalf of RESPEC in support of IDHW, the successful candidate will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise automated testing frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Jenkins, and related technologies.
  • Build and execute automated tests for unit, functional, integration, API, regression, UAT, and production validation.
  • Utilize AI-assisted testing tools to improve test coverage, defect detection, and regression reliability.
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and scripts aligned with business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage the test case repository and ensure all testing assets remain current, reusable, and linked to requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Analyze automated test execution results, perform root cause analysis on defects, and troubleshoot failures.
  • Partner with developers, architects, and product owners to define testing requirements and establish quality standards.
  • Develop user-friendly reporting dashboards and quality metrics for business and IT leadership.

Qualifications

Required:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • 6+ Years of experience in software automation testing and quality assurance within enterprise application environments.
  • 5+ Years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
  • 4+ Years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • 3+ Years of experience creating automated test scripts and regression suites using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, Jenkins, JUnit, or WebLOAD (or equivalent).
  • 3+ Years of experience implementing and maintaining automation framework components to support reliable test execution.
  • 2+ Years of experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
  • Strong Technical Foundation in Selenium WebDriver, CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins), and automated regression strategies.
  • Excellent Communication Skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical findings to stakeholders.
  • Analytical Mindset with high attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free software.

Preferred:

Highly desirable skills and experience include:

  • 2+ Years of experience with Java programming and test automation scripting.
  • 1+ Years of experience using AI-assisted tools to develop, optimize, or execute automated test cases.
  • API Testing Expertise: Experience with Postman, Rest Assured, GraphQL, OAuth2/JWT authentication, and contract testing (Swagger/OpenAPI).
  • Performance Testing Proficiency: Experience with JMeter, Gatling, or K6, including analysis of throughput, latency, and scalability.
  • Cloud & Containerization: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and running tests in containerized environments.
  • DevOps Integration: Experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI for automated pipeline development and artifact management.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience testing enterprise-scale applications in government, healthcare, or highly regulated sectors.
