Title: Solutions Analyst 

Location: Remote Canada

Reports To: Director, Solutions Analyst


The Role: 

The role of Solutions Analyst (SA) is to initiate, execute and support the development of new and revised business processes and requirements for the effective application of J.D. Power solutions and technology.  Solutions Analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and project team members to elicit, analyze, specify and validate the business and functional requirements. The SA will also be responsible for gaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of offerings and providing the best technical practices and knowledge to support the design and implementation of technical solutions.

Additionally, Solutions Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills to help support the implementation process and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.  


The Impact You Will Have in This Role: 

Solutions Analyst develop subject matter expertise level knowledge about our clients, solutions, and products.  The knowledge and skills of the Solutions Analyst help to resolve business problems and implement solutions to assist our clients in offering the best experience for their customers.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Collaborate with clients, technical teams and project stakeholders to understand and clarify client needs, vision and project scope.
  • Conduct interviews and provide analysis to understand and assemble quality requirements via workshops, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios and other methods.
  • Translate conceptual business requirements into functional requirements using standard templates.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and the project team.
  • Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Manage requirements tracking, modifications and improvements.           
  • Remain connected throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the project vision is maintained.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure the clients’ needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of SA best practices, processes and methodologies.
  • Consult in the development of test strategies, scenarios, execution and support during business acceptance testing.
  • Create and maintain client relationships.
  • Communicate and negotiate requirement scope with client, as necessary, with input from internal delivery team.

Qualifications of this Role: 

  • Experience as a Solutions/Technical Business Analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and SDLC.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of technical business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstratable experience in creating diagrams, documents and presentations with the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed and able to exercise independent judgment.
  • Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving skills, interviewing and documentation writing skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of programming languages is an asset.
