We are looking for a professional and engaging Solutions Architect based out of one of our Canadian locations (Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto) to focus on Data Technical Presales including the design, architecture and implementation of solutions within the Long View's Data & Dynamics Practice.


A Day in the Life:

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work hand-in-hand with the sales team to identify and qualify exciting business opportunities.
  • Technical Presentations & Demos: Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations of Microsoft Data & AI solutions that captivate and inform our clients.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Understand diverse customer requirements and tailor bespoke solutions that align with their unique business goals.
  • RFP/RFI Responses: Assist in the response to RFPs, RFIs, and other technical documentation, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Industry Trends: Stay at the forefront of Microsoft Data & AI products and industry trends to provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a critical bridge between sales and technical teams to ensure seamless customer success.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years in industry working as a developer and subject matter expert in data analytics with Azure
  • 5+ years of experience advising on, managing, and successfully delivering cloud technical solutions focused on Data and Analytics
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a technical pre-sales role, with a strong preference for experience with Microsoft Data & AI solutions.
  • Microsoft Technologies: Deep understanding of the following Microsoft technologies:
  • Data Platforms: SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric
  • AI & Machine Learning: Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Bot Framework, and Azure Databricks.
  • Data Integration & Management: Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Azure Databricks.
  • Data Engineering: Azure Stream Analytics, HDInsight, Azure Data Lake.
  • Business Applications: Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Business Translation: Ability to translate complex technical features into clear business benefits.
  • Customer Focus: A passion for technology and a strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Analytical Mindset: Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex scenarios.
  • Adaptability: Agile and adaptable, thriving in changing environments.
  • Collaboration: A team player with exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Education & Professional Development
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Growth: Advanced certifications in Microsoft technologies are preferred and supported.
