Company Overview:

Arctiq is a North American professional and managed services firm built around three Centers of Excellence: Enterprise Security, Modern Infrastructure, and Platform Engineering. We help large enterprises modernize how they deliver IT — connecting infrastructure, security, networking, applications, and cloud into a coherent operating model rather than a stack of disconnected tools.

Position Overview:

**This is not a remote role, it is Hybrid, in Regina, SK, Canada with a 7/6/2026 Start Date**

The Solutions Architect is a senior technical leadership role responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions across server, storage, network, and data center environments. Acting as the primary technical authority, this individual bridges business requirements with technical implementation — producing formal architecture documentation and guiding projects from conceptual design through delivery across a multi-vendor ecosystem including Intel, IBM, Cisco, and Azure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead development of Conceptual Solution Designs (CSD), Detailed Solution Designs (DSD), and Technical Specification Documents (TSD) for complex infrastructure projects.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions spanning servers, storage, networking, and data center environments; define reference architectures and design standards.
  • Apply TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and governance requirements.

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Serve as trusted technical advisor; conduct discovery workshops, requirements gathering, and infrastructure planning sessions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide consultation on infrastructure strategy, technology selection, and best practices; translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences.

Project Delivery & Vendor Management

  • Oversee technical delivery of infrastructure projects including Cisco networking, Microsoft Azure, storage systems, and data center implementations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology evaluations across Intel, IBM, Cisco, and storage platforms; support PoC and pilot engagements.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and regulatory requirements throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.

Governance & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain DSD, TSD, CSD, and Core Infrastructure Planning (CIP) documents; enforce design standards and technical governance policies.
  • Mentor junior architects and contribute to the continuous evolution of architecture practice and internal knowledge base.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure with a strong focus on solution architecture across server, storage, network, and data center domains.
  • Proven track record delivering complex multi-vendor infrastructure projects and producing formal architecture documentation (CSD, DSD, TSD).
  • Strong knowledge of server, storage, network, and data center planning — including Intel platform architecture, IBM systems, and Cisco product ecosystems (Nexus, ACI, SD-WAN).
  • Experience with enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, object storage) and Microsoft Azure hybrid infrastructure design.
  • Proficiency producing detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution specifications.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud migration methodologies.
  • 2–4 years of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • TOGAF 9 or 10 Certified (or equivalent enterprise architecture framework) — Preferred but not required
