Job Summary 🧾

We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Analytics Engineer with a solid understanding of data reporting, visualization, structures, formats, BI & data models management. We are looking for a person who also will be responsible for customer insights decision-making, improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and manage risks by interpreting complex data sets, who can also succeed in data analysis demands a blend of technical skills (data cleaning and statistical analysis) and soft skills (critical thinking and communication).

You will be in a great mission for overseeing our data systems and reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data. You will transform raw data into structured information, which will then be analyzed to glean insights that drive strategic decision making in business. This position will be covering requirement gathering, activity execution, and design planning. You will be a key team player that enjoys data collection and examination looking for the best customer experience and delight ensuring we commit to our SLA’s and we have fun in the way!


What are the responsibilities for this role? 🧠

  • ETL/ELT development: work alongside Data Engineers to devise ETL/ELT pipelines to migrate data between sources. Be responsible for the development and design of the system architecture keeping in mind the end-user requirements and the data modeling and database design
  • Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable throughout its lifecycle, which is critical for making valid and trustworthy decisions; scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors
  • Collecting Data from Various Sources: gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party sources and ensure the upkeep of databases and data systems.
  • Developing and Supporting Reporting Processes: create and maintain processes to generate accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand and act on key data insights; identify if needed opportunities for process enhancements; engage with other teams and Yaleres to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes
  • Interpret Data: detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets; employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights, helping extract meaningful insights and trends, which can then inform business decisions and strategies
  • Develop data dashboards: charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments
  • Maintaining Databases: You will be on this to collaborate with the responsibility of the Data & Analytics team in managing and updating databases to ensure they are secure, accessible, and functioning properly.

Job Requirements?💻

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in data analysis and data reporting and ideally with Looker.
  • ETL/ELT development experience (dbt Cloud preferred).
  • Mastery in data analysis languages: SQL and Python.
  • Possess a solid foundation in statistics and analytics.
  • Experience working with BigQuery and GCP.
  • Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness. 
  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Proven ability to work independently and with a team.
