The Client Productivity Senior Engineer works at the highest level to provide advice and direction to users and management for systems and problems that are more complex in nature. The candidate evaluates new technologies and develops processes to support our clients and our team. The candidate is able to perform application maintenance and troubleshoot issues across multiple applications. The Senior Engineer is recognized as a technical leader within the team and department, with emphasis on the Client Productivity environment. The candidate has the ability to demonstrate breadth of knowledge across multiple areas of information technology.
This role is a lead technical support engineer who will be responsible for the following activities, tasks and operations within the Client Productivity team:
•Supports all services and applications owned by the team.
•Participates in low-to-medium complexity projects.
•Executes proactive monitoring, runs health checks, and performs ad hoc reporting and data analysis to maintain an optimal and stable application environment.
•Demonstrates effective communication skills to manage escalations within and across technical teams and leadership.
•Partners with the team Supervisor to help support the team daily BAU operations.
•Helps define and analyze KPIs used to ensure the team is meeting the SLAs.
•Implements and supports technical controls related to team policies, procedures, and standards.
•Participates in planned or unplanned support and maintenance activities of our services and applications.
•Analyzes team processes to make optimization recommendations or develop improvement solutions of varying complexity including automation.
•Key participant in the build-to-run transition of applications or process improvements across the team.
•Creates and updates operational documentation including architectural diagrams and standard operating procedures.
•Stay up to date on new, industry-specific technologies as it relates to the position.
•Coordinates with vendors on technical level for developing solutions and troubleshooting applications or team processes.
•Participates in rotating 24x7 on-call support operations.
•Mentorship and knowledge transfers to junior team members.
Requirements:
• Windows 2000, XP, and 7 (Applications and Utilities).
• General understanding of server hardware platforms (HP Proliant, VMWare)
• General understanding of database technologies (MS SQL, HP PolyServe)
• General understanding of networking technology
• Experience with Office 365 migration and administration
• Experience with other messaging systems such as Lotus Notes is helpful.
• Knowledge and experience with relevant networking specifications, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Telnet, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of monitoring solutions such as Microsoft SCOM or IBM Tivoli.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset (event log parsing, dump analysis)
• Practical experience coding in Visual Basic and/or Visual Basic Scripting. Knowledge of Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI), ActiveX Data Objects (ADO), Collaboration Data Objects (CDO), Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), Active Server Pages (ASP).
• Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCTS-M, MCPIT-M, CCNA are not required but highly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with change management process.
• Production support experience within healthcare industry desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills necessary in Word, Excel, Presentation, Project and Visio
• Excellent people skills with ability to handle difficult personnel situations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply them towards the investigation of existing installations
• Excellent understanding of Windows problem determination and remediation
• Ability to establish performance models and validation techniques
• Ability to establish best practices for monitoring and forecasting of system/application capacity
• Must be able to present effectively to technical and management teams
• Must be able to lead technical meetings and discussions
• Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Must be able to effectively manage relationships with internal and external partners
• Must be able to deal appropriately with confidential information
• Must be able to work with minimal guidance
• Must be able/willing to train /mentor Tier III and Tier II Messaging team members.

Work Environment:
• Must be able to travel to domestic and international sites and possess valid passport.
• Normal professional business office environment with considerable work on a PC.
• Must be able to work independently and have the capacity to resolve issues.
• Must be able to work in a 24x7 environment; this includes nights and weekends. On-call & overtime required.
• Must be able to work closely with resources required for a project, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet customer’s expectations.
