About the team:

Come join us as a Sr. Manager of Product Management in the Benefits Payments Product team to define our bold vision and key priorities to deliver experiences that delight customers and win in the market.

What you’ll do

  • Lead, inspire and empower a team of 4-5 talented product managers to define innovative experiences that delight our customers and win in the market 

  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to define the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap to inspire and align key stakeholders and customers, leveraging a deep understanding of customer needs, the external market, technology and competitors 

  • Deliver an awesome end to end customer experience with a focus on the employee digital experience, using qualitative and quantitative data to identify areas to improve and rapidly iterate

  • Leverage strong business acumen and partnership across WEX to define how we go to market and serve our customers, including business model innovation, pricing, first use, cross-sell and support.

  • Encourage a culture of experimentation, learning, and a growth-mindset - creating an environment where teams are redefining what’s possible and challenging the status quo

  • Lead product prioritization processes across the organization and role model making hard tradeoffs to ensure we deliver products that solve the biggest customer problem, strong market position and generate durable business benefits (revenues, adoption, retention, etc.)

  • Build strong relationships with your team and cross-functional partners based on trust, transparency, and open dialogue. Encourage a culture where everyone feels empowered to contribute, challenge decisions constructively, and commit to shared goals.

  • Coach and inspire 4-5 direct reports, providing them with actionable and timely feedback to help them grow and deliver great work

  • Trusted Partner: Cross functionally appreciates and comprehends different points of view and share information clearly and transparently with strong collaboration while knowing when to escalate 

  • Talent Steward: Actively coaches and manages direct reports to help flourish while seeking feedback to develop themselves

Experience you’ll bring: 

  • 5-8 years of Product Manager experience in environments that embrace customer driven innovation, rapid experimentation, data-driven decisions and results-orientation

  • Experienced in proven methodologies to develop great products, including customer driven innovation, rapid experimentation, prototyping, product analytics and using OKRs to measure outcomes 

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring product managers or other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Experience working in the benefits administration industry, including familiarity with benefits administration processes and technology

  • Proven track record of setting product strategy for a large portfolio and translating it into a product roadmap with excellent end to end execution

  • Demonstrated success in creating a vision to inspire, prioritizing key deliverables,  defining and building roadmaps, and managing internal and external commitments

  • Strong technical acumen, with an ability to understand how data, technology and common capabilities can enable your strategy and vision 

  • Strong financial acumen, analytical and problem solving skills 

  • Ability to partner well cross-functionally, especially with engineering, marketing and commercial 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to influence key stakeholders

  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree is a plus

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
