About the Role:

As the Sr. Media Relations Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for helping shape and execute CrowdStrike’s media strategy to drive impactful storytelling, strengthen brand leadership, and influence the cybersecurity industry narrative. Reporting to the Senior Director of Public Relations and Media Strategy, this role demands a seasoned media relations expert with a knack for uncovering competitive opportunities, managing high-stakes communications, and building strong relationships with top-tier journalists.

The ideal candidate is a media-savvy strategist and skilled communicator who thrives on finding and amplifying compelling stories that resonate with global audiences. You will proactively manage media relationships, respond to competitive narratives, and execute crisis communications to protect and enhance CrowdStrike’s reputation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute a proactive media relations strategy that positions CrowdStrike as a leader in cybersecurity and highlights the company’s innovation and customer-first focus.

  • Lead the creation of compelling narratives that differentiate CrowdStrike in a competitive landscape, emphasizing key strengths and market leadership.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with top-tier technology, business, and trade journalists to drive impactful media coverage.

  • Manage high-profile media campaigns, including thought leadership, product innovations, customer success stories, and industry recognition.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product marketing, competitive intelligence, and analyst relations, to craft media narratives that align with business priorities.

  • Oversee crisis communications and reputation management efforts, ensuring swift and strategic responses to emerging challenges.

  • Arm domestic and international PR agencies with key narratives, messaging, and tools to drive consistent, measurable results across global markets.

  • Monitor and respond to competitive media narratives, shaping CrowdStrike’s positioning with precision and authority.

What You’ll Need:

  • A proven track record of developing and executing impactful media relations strategies that align with core business goals and deliver measurable results.

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft press releases, statements, pitches, and thought leadership content that drive influence and coverage.

  • Experience managing crisis communications, competitive narratives, and high-stakes public relations efforts.

  • A deep understanding of the media landscape, including established relationships with top-tier journalists and a keen eye for emerging trends.

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work seamlessly across product, marketing, and leadership teams to align efforts and drive impact.

  • A relentless focus on delivering results and seizing opportunities to tell CrowdStrike’s story in dynamic and differentiated ways.

  • Demonstrated expertise in simplifying complex cybersecurity and technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for media and stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 10–12+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or strategic communications, with a focus on technology or cybersecurity.

  • Extensive experience managing competitive narratives and shaping industry conversations.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work in high-growth, fast-paced environments while delivering high-impact results.

  • A strong network of media contacts and expertise in managing media relationships.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $120,000 - $200,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
