Are you an Engineer who has a background in a project environment and experience in liquids pipelines and gas transmission facilities.  In this role, you will act as the engineering lead on assigned facility projects for the design phase. This includes overseeing the design for projects performed by third party engineering firms to ensure they are following Company and Industry standards and specifications and managed to the project scope, budget, and schedule.

What you will do:

• Works independently, ensuring that all pipelines and facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes, and corporate standards and specifications.

• Leads engineering design, defining the scope, schedule and budget for design and material procurement.

• Manages the execution of the design deliverables by a third-party engineering firm against the project budget and schedule.

• Reviews and approves design deliverables, for example drawings, technical reports, and material requisition sheets.

• Reviews vendor materials quotations, prepares technical evaluations, and recommends to the supervisor selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery.  For example, meters, pumps, tanks, pressure vessels, buildings, pipe, valves and fittings.
   

Who you are:

• Engineering degree.

• Currently registered as a professional engineer P Eng with APEGA.

• A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, including roles in engineering and project management.

• Ability to resolve issues based on depth and breadth of technical and business knowledge.

• Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with technical and non-technical partners.

• Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

• Valid passport to travel and work between US and Canada.

• Office environment.

• Up to 20% of travel.
