We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advisor to join our Digital & Information Technology (D&IT) team. Reporting to the Director of Planning & Central Services, the ideal candidate will lead a program intended to shape and manage our contractor workforce with a particular focus on our offshore contractor teams. The position will focus on workforce management, performance and financial management of our offshore contractors to ensure that D&IT has the right mix of on-shored versus offshored services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Post secondary schooling in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of experience in strategy development, business analysis, or management consulting, preferably within the technology sector.
- Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and driving organizational change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A financial or commercial background is considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- Developing and governing the contractor workforce strategy for D&IT, determining roles and skillsets that are best suited for contractor resources, and the right mix of onshore versus offshore resources.
- Analyzing and anticipating future D&IT contractor needs, and ensuring these needs will be met through high quality strategic relationships with select vendors.
- Selecting & managing the vendors who provide the contractor resources & teams.
- Manage the performance and relationship of offshore teams and vendors
- Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage and enforce service level agreements
- Manage centralized contractor approval process
- Making recommendations on opportunities to rationalize the contractor workforce
- Identifying and presenting transparently the full cost of contractors onshore and offshore to D&IT
- Define and implement KPI’s to track contractor workforce effectiveness
- Standardized contractor roles, rate cards & deviation management
Location and other Key Details:
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- This position is security sensitive which requires you to clear a criminal history check
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
