We're Looking For A: Senior Digital Storyteller - writer/director who will write and direct innovative video ads to run on FB/IG, YouTube and other social channels for brands that sell supplements, pet food, and beauty products directly to consumers.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Write and direct video ads with the goal of selling products using a data-driven, test-and-learn approach.
    • Come up with fresh and innovative concepts/angles for ads and write scripts.
    • Direct actors and/or celebrity brand partners to elicit authentic and persuasive performances; Formulate and ask interview questions that elicit the most compelling soundbites.
    • Work with videographers to gather video assets (i.e.identify needed video cover, set-up locations and direct videographers to shoot b-roll).
    • Provide on-set leadership in collaboration with Production Supervisor, production team, and camera crew.
    • Collaborate with editors from pre-production to delivery, including providing feedback on edits, assist conceiving of graphics and on-screen text.
    • Analyze performance data, and use data to create incremental video optimizations that scale.
    • Successfully manage/mentor a junior Story Producer
    • Available to drive, and occasionally travel, to locations in order to film and gather footage and conduct interviews

    • Exceptional concepting skills
    • Exceptional script writing and directing skills
    • Mastery of on-set creative leadership and understanding of how to successfully direct celebrity partners and actors
    • Ability to formulate strategies on how to market health and wellness products in fresh, creative and different ways.
    • Understanding of direct response marketing.
    • A highly creative self-starter who can work both independently and collaborate well with different teams
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
    • Management and mentorship experience with evidence of success
    • Bachelor's Degree in Writing, Film (preferred)
    • 5-8 years experience writing & directing in a visual medium (required)
    • 8+ years experience writing & directing in a visual medium, ideally with some advertising/marketing experience (preferred)

    The base salary range is $90,000-$120,000, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
    The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote.
