What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Assist with the management of the Prime Broker, International Exchange and Derivative Exchange team through all aspects of the month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations.
- Prepare journal entries related to customer activity on our prime broker and derivatives platforms, including custodial cash, custodial liabilities, trading revenue and related accruals.
- Prepare journal entries for platform intercompany activity related to our Prime Broker and International Exchange operations.
- Prepare reconciliations for corporate inventory, custodial liabilities and other corporate and custodial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures over platform accounting activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions as assigned.
- Analyze data against business drivers to identify trends / issues.
- Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned.
- Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 3+ years working in public accounting or in the fintech/financial services industries preferred.
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Experience working in G-Suite.
- Basic knowledge/understanding of payment systems and cash reconciliation.
- Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and the crypto economy.
- Possess excellent analytical skills (MS Excel), business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills.
- Able to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong work ethic and team player.
Nice to haves:
- CPA preferred.
- Experience working with Snowflake, Looker or similar analytics tools.
- Experience working in Netsuite and FloQast.
- Basic knowledge of perpetual and futures contracts.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
Pay Range:
$116,900—$116,900 CAD
