About the teamThe Payments design team crafts product experiences that empower users to manage global payments, refunds, fraud, and disputes, while continually optimizing performance. This team transforms the intricate world of payments into intuitive solutions, letting users focus on growing their businesses. Because they own some of Stripe’s highest-volume surfaces, the team’s efforts drive significant impact for our users.
What you’ll doYou might call yourself a UX writer, content strategist, information architect, or another title. In this role, you’ll shape the strategic direction of high-impact projects, in addition to crafting elegant interface copy that distills complex concepts into clear, actionable language. Content designers at Stripe are empowered to dive deeply into a problem space, pairing closely with product designers as equal partners in the product development process. Day to day, you’ll work with small, iterative cross-functional teams while enjoying the camaraderie and support of a centralized Content Design team.
Responsibilities- Lead content design for new product experiences that connect business goals with user needs
- Scope and prioritize work, ensuring we’re working on the right things to achieve business goals and improve users’ experiences
- Present work regularly to leaders; synthesize and act on feedback to rapidly refine solutions
- Shape (and scribe) interaction flows, navigation schemes, and other microcopy
- Facilitate content critiques and workshops, advise partners on content execution, and create tools and templates to enable others to create their own great content
- Make connections with product teams across Stripe to create cohesive user experiences and improve our design systems
- Champion craft and product excellence through example

Minimum requirements- 8+ years of experience working as a content designer, UX writer, or content strategist
- Experience working on technical and/or B2B products, translating complex concepts into clear, intuitive language
- Examples of content you’ve written across surfaces and channels, including web, email, and product interfaces
- Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale information architecture projects
- Experience presenting your work to senior leaders
- Experience designing content for complex financial products and/or highly regulated industries
