Hi, I’m Lais, Product Design Manager and Group Lead here at Jane. I joined Jane three years ago, and I lead the team that designs the first experiences our customers have with us. From the moment they sign up, through onboarding, setup, and data import, we’re responsible for making sure Jane feels easy to learn, easy to trust, and genuinely valuable from the very start.

A little about me as a human: I’m raising two small kids, wrangling a very happy dog, and living near world-class climbing. I also spend a month each year working from Brazil with my family. The flexibility to design my days means I can be present at home and still take on ambitious work that challenges me to grow. I come back from crags and family trips with fresh perspective, and I bring that energy into everything I do.

The combination of high standards and genuine humanity is what keeps me excited about the path we’re on.I’m looking for a Staff Product Designer to help redefine Jane’s onboarding strategy and shape the early experiences that set clinics up for long-term success. It’s meaningful work with direct customer impact, plenty of ambiguity to explore, and the chance to influence how we drive activation, retention, and product-led growth across Jane.

What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make

  • Help us redefine our onboarding strategy and improve the onboarding experience for our customers
  • Build an expert-level understanding of how different segments of customers onboard to Jane
  • Identifying new and novel ways to onboard customers using new and innovative technologies
  • Building a process for experimentation and growth for Jane, focused on increasing activation and reducing churn
  • Support our first foray into Product-Led Growth by designing experiences that drive self-service success and adoption.

What Experience We Need

  • 8+ years of experience in Product/UX Design, with a track record of leading projects in complex or abstract domains.
  • Experience working within a growth team at a SaaS product company
  • Experience building experiments and A/B testing
  • A portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking, user research, and design work - ideally including developer platforms, internal tools, or integration-focused projects.
  • Ability to design at the pattern level, creating frameworks that others use to build experiences.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces, breaking down complexity into approachable solutions.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills - you can explain not just what you designed, but why.
  • Confidence working closely with technical partners; you don’t need to be an engineer, but you can ask good questions, understand constraints, and challenge assumptions.
  • Experience with customer research and testing, including the ability to represent diverse customer journeys.
  • Organized, collaborative, and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment where things aren’t always fully defined.
  • A bias to action: you don’t just analyze problems, you move them forward.

More About Jane

Jane is a founder-led, high-growth SaaS company born in North Vancouver, British Columbia. We’re now a team of more than 700 people working remotely across Canada, the US, and the UK, united by our mission to help the helpers.

We build the products and tools that thousands of clinics rely on every day to run their businesses, care for their patients, and grow their communities. That level of impact means every person at Jane plays an important role in how we show up for our customers. We’re all responsible for being deeply connected to their needs, obsessed with improving their experience, and proud of the difference our work makes in their day-to-day lives.

Jane is growing fast, and that growth brings exciting challenges that call for adaptability, resilience, learning agility, and humility. We’re proud of what we’ve built and quick to admit what we don’t know yet. We listen, learn, and adjust as we go. We’re also embracing the possibilities of AI, using it to work smarter, improve our systems, and create even better experiences for our customers and our team.

Our goal isn’t just delivery, it’s delight. We move quickly, communicate openly, and solve real problems together. If you’re energized by ambiguity, motivated by impact, and eager to learn with others, you’ll thrive at Jane.

Compensation & Benefits

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $144,000 to $225,000. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.

Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $171,000. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills.
