Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Development and Strategy Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, driving growth initiatives, and executing key corporate development activities. The ideal candidate will leverage their investment banking background to provide analytical insights, support M&A efforts, and contribute to strategic planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Strategy:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and articulate the company's long-term strategic vision.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps that align with corporate objectives and drive shareholder value.
  • Collaborate with EPMO to build greater alignment across key strategic initiatives.

Corporate Development:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, investment banks, and potential partners.
  • Develop internal M&A toolkit inclusive of target valuation models, threshold returns analysis, and value creation opportunities.
  • Manage transaction execution processes, including negotiations, documentation, and integration planning.

Market and Competitive Analysis:

  • Benchmark Q2 operational and valuation metrics against public peers.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and emerging market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare insightful reports and presentations for executive management and the board of directors.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Develop Board materials to support executive leadership in building stakeholder support.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, product development, and sales, to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments to facilitate the seamless execution of strategic projects.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Management/Board-level presentation skills
  • Familiarity with strategy frameworks
  • Strong business acumen and banking/financial industry knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration (or related discipline) and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8 years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Proven experience in investment banking, corporate development, or strategy consulting, ideally within the banking or financial technology sectors.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
