We’re looking for an organized, detail oriented Subsurface Technologist to join our Calgary team. In this role, you’ll support our geoscience and engineering teams by managing well, seismic, and geological data across multiple projects and applications. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving workflows, and helping others use data effectively.In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with geologists and geophysicists to load, validate, and organize critical subsurface data, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of information used in key exploration and development decisions.

What You Bring
Diploma or certificate in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering Technology, or a related discipline considered an asset.
3 + years of subsurface or geoscience data experience (experience level flexible — junior to intermediate candidates encouraged to apply)
Hands‑on experience with Petrel and Studio (required)
Understanding of geological, geophysical, and well data (LAS, SEGY, tops, core, directional surveys, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Problem‑solver who enjoys learning and helping others with technical issues
Experience with scripting or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, SQL) is an asset
Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and balance multiple priorities
How You’ll Make An Impact
Load, validate, and manage well, seismic, and geological data in Petrel, Studio, and related tools
Conduct data quality control for the Winter Drilling Program, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with AER requirements
Manage and maintain digital and physical subsurface data records, ensuring everything is organized and easy to access
Support geoscience staff with data extraction, troubleshooting, and integration of new datasets into corporate databases
Monitor and maintain the health of Studio databases, including data cleanup and consistency checks
Work with the team to standardize workflows, implement best practices, and improve data governance
Create maps and cross‑sections to support interpretation and reservoir analysis
Contribute to process automation by developing simple scripts or using in‑house tools to streamline common tasks
Assist with regulatory submissions and ensure data management activities align with company and industry standards
