The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and HR management activities of Region Distribution staff including sales staff, working in company offices (Agencies). Provides leadership and direction to Corporate Sales Staff in alignment with the Advisor Trainee and engages them in the Model Agency Framework while ensuring the successful achievement of district objectives. The Operations Supervisor is also responsible for coaching Advisor Trainees, focusing on the HR Management attribute, as they implement the Model Agency tools and processes.


How you will create impact:
  • Manage human resources activities including performance management, setting performance objectives, rewards/recognition, training, development and career planning.
  • Coaching the Advisor Trainee in becoming proficient in all characteristics of the HR Management Attribute of the Model Agency
  • Manage the operations of District sales/service offices during agency transitions including coaching Trainee/Advisors on Model Agency implementation focusing on the HR Management attribute
  • Develop, implement and monitor corporate District office business plans, goals, priorities and schedules that are aligned with organizational, district and company goals.
  • Understand and support corporate strategic and operational direction including the use of Model Agency tools and processes including strong competency in ECM, and Client Reviews
  • Support recruitment and selection of qualified District staff with the abilities to excel within their roles. Examine and proactively respond to meet staffing requirements. Build and maintain a strong motivated team.
  • Assist in the annual Agency Review and implement corrective action plans resulting from agency reviews, including managing client complaints, resolution of payment and cash handling issues (PMSC), etc.
  • Act as the field consultant for corporate and product departments and provide input on product viability and design, underwriting, competitive analysis, promotional materials, marketing programs and claims programs and service.

To join our team:
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in insurance and service delivery.
  • Completion of post-secondary education and/or completion of Human Resource related courses would be an asset.
  • General Insurance License is required.
  • Life license is an asset or acquire within 3-6 months of hire.
  • Successful sales and supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to coach, lead and mentor others with a focus on teamwork and professionalism.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary/hourly range $72,847.00 - $121,411.00

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

 

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
