You will manage a team of Project Managers, Project Support staff and engineering technical staff responsible for the execution of the PCSLD project portfolios, providing capital planning services to PCSLD groups, as well as business partners, and to provide strategic business consulting services to PCSLD management.

 

Please note - This is 2 years fixed term role.

What you will do:

  • You will lead a team of 12+ Project Managers, Project Support staff and Engineering technical staff to achieve the strategic objectives of the PCSLD department.  Provide coaching and mentoring to team and conduct recruitment and ongoing individual performance management activities.

  • You are accountable for the successful execution of the assigned Project Portfolio measured with progress against schedule, budget, and meeting sponsor and customer requirements

  • You will develop PCSLD asset (PCSLD applications and equipment) life-cycle strategy frameworks, templates, tools that ensure asset investment strategies optimize long term capital and operating costs are aligned with Asset Management principles and reliability best practice solutions

  • Develop, maintain and improve the PCSLD risk model for all PCSLD asset classes in collaboration with LPRM and Reliability Engineering and Application of this risk model in decision making through the capital planning phase

  • Lead and facilitate program and project selection, definition, planning and execution 

  • Work with Program & Project Managers on appropriate communication to sponsors and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance of processes to meet TIS and LP process and reporting requirements.

 

Who You are:

  • A university degree, a diploma from a recognized institution, or applicable experience in the Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Commerce or Engineering field supplemented by management training

  • A minimum of 7 or more years of experience in team leadership, project management, program management, portfolio management, business development, internal consulting (strategy and operations) experience

  • Strong understanding of project, program, and portfolio processes and financials

  • Strong understanding of Capital Planning, Asset Management, and Risk Management with the ability to apply to departmental planning and needs

  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge in development of strategic plans, OKRs, scorecards, meaningful KPIs, and various business assessment frameworks – previous consulting experience an asset

  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to lead and contribute to strategic planning, thinking, and to lead and manage change

  • Ability to bridge strategy to tactical planning to execution to meet department goals and objectives, as well as business requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of OT technology, OT applications, enterprise and solutions architecture experience is an asset
