The Opportunity

To support TC Energy’s growth and increasing complexity, the need for strong talent management expertise is critical.  Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management, you will play a key role in ensuring our talent programs are aligned with TC’s organizational priorities.  As a Talent Management Advisor, you will collaborate with stakeholders to support the design and delivery of talent programs aligned to our strategic talent goals.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate the design, development, execution, and sustainment of practical, fit-for-purpose programs such as talent assessments and succession planning, performance management, onboarding/offboarding, survey/listening strategy, early career development, leadership and employee development programs
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to communicate, deploy and continuously improve Talent Management programs and processes to ensure effective delivery and client experience that achieves intended outcomes
  • Partner with other internal HR COEs to report on and provide insights into our talent programs including our leadership pipeline based on analysis of data and metrics
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to automate and efficiently deliver, track and measure outcomes of our talent programs
  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to clearly define requirements and create/source practical solutions to support enterprise talent management needs
  • Support vendor relationships for TC’s talent management offerings to ensure an effective and consistent client experience
  • Informally coach and support the development of HR colleagues in talent processes and programs as appropriate
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required in Business or Human Resources related discipline
  • Minimum 7+ years of Human Resource experience, including progressive experience with processes, programs, and interdependencies in all aspects of talent management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Previous direct experience in talent development is strongly preferred
  • Project management experience; success in dealing with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • Previous experience in the development, implementation and sustainment of talent metrics is considered an asset

 Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years in Talent Management
  • Strong contracting, consulting, and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and partners at all levels of the organization
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data and formulate actionable recommendations
  • Strong customer service focus and effective problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated communication skills, through written, oral and presentation abilities with proficiency in MS Office Suite
