Reporting to the PPS ILI Senior Engineering Manager for Magnetics, the “Team Leader – MFL & Geo ILI Software Engineering” is responsible for leading a team of Software specialists, to develop new and support & enhance existing software tools to analyze inspection data and
enhance PPS’s leading position in the Global market. The principle focus of the role will be to lead the productization of new developments and related enhancements for all Magnetic, Geometric and Inertial In-line Inspection services as well as Integrity Engineering products.
 

As a Software Engineer Team Lead you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of software engineers to implement enhancements to the analysis software tools used by Magnetic, Geometric and Inertial as well as Integrity Engineering services
• Developing new and ongoing improvement of existing analysis software tools
• Participating in technical reviews, development of problem solutions and reporting and driving adherence to internal product development and related processes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data science, electromechanical engineering and system engineering teams on project planning and execution
• Collaborating with the ongoing in-house Digitization and Digital Transformation efforts to align sustaining & product development activities across platforms
• Managing and planning the allocation of resources to meet demands
• Engaging with internal & external stakeholders on ILI technology and product development
• Proposing and leading continuous improvement initiatives

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or related discipline and 5+yrs experience leading software development activities and teams supporting production software
• Have a track record of leading and delivering software development projects
• Demonstrative experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams
• Able to communicate with people at all levels and presenting to non-technical stakeholders
• Able influence and gain solutions to meet project objectives
• Proven experience in sound software engineering principles
