We are looking for a Technical Manager, Corporate Development to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, the Technical Manager will provide support in identifying, recommending, structuring, and executing acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures, in cooperation with respective Enbridge business units, as well as other Corporate Development initiatives.
Working in a fast-paced environment in the Corporate Development department, the Technical Manager will work independently, prioritize and deliver against deadlines, across multiple workstreams.

What You Will Do:
- Support the Director, Corporate Development in originating, identifying, evaluating and driving suitable corporate investment opportunities in collaboration with respective Enbridge business units
- Support Identification, execution and negotiation of potential asset divestitures in concert with respective Enbridge business units
- Lead execution of Corporate Development related transactions with related project teams comprised of tax, treasury, accounting, legal, business unit representatives and external advisors to complete significant transactions with third-party counterparties, including the management of due diligence workstreams
- Lead analytical workstreams evaluating key Corporate Development initiatives
- Support the preparation of Management and Board materials regarding these acquisitions, divestiture and other Corporate Development initiatives
- Proactively maintain awareness of energy infrastructure developments including peer activities, acquisition opportunities and competitive landscape
- Mentor analytical and execution support staff
Who You Are:
- Advanced business education from a nationally recognized program (MBA and/or CA, CMA, CFA)
- 10+ years of experience in business preferably within the energy infrastructure segment
- Investment banking or direct M&A experience considered an asset
- Subject matter expertise and exceptional financial acumen e.g., financial modelling and evaluation, acquisitions, and divestitures & capital investment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of regulatory, accounting, taxation and financing issues
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work and act independently
