Charger Logistics is seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join our team at the company’s office in Brampton, Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with grant writing expertise to develop clear, persuasive proposals. This role involves collaborating with the IT team and experts to ensure compliance with funder guidelines and managing pre- and post-award documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Proposal Writing: Develop compelling grant proposals that align with funder requirements, ensuring accuracy in budget justifications and project timelines.
  • Research & Analysis: Identify and research funding opportunities, analyze grant requirements, and stay informed about trends in the grant-making landscape.
  • Technical Documentation: Write technical sections of proposals, including project summaries, methodologies, and other necessary documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to gather technical information, ensuring proposals are aligned with project needs and budget requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all grant submissions adhere to funder formatting and submission guidelines, while managing multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Impact Reporting: Prepare progress reports and narratives that highlight project outcomes, maintaining strong relationships with funders.
  • Quality Control: Review and edit proposal documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Database Management: Keep accurate records of all submissions and maintain reusable content for future proposals.
  • Training & Support: Offer guidance and create templates to ensure consistent and effective grant writing across the team.
  • Post-Award Documentation: Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation required after a grant award.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Technical Writing or a related field.
  • 3+ years of grant writing or technical writing experience is needed.
  • Strong understanding of grant-making processes and funding agency guidelines.
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with grant management software and database systems is a plus.
  • Experience with federal, state, or private foundation grants will be preferred.
