Position Overview:Finning Canada is seeking an experienced Temporary Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team for a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3-days per week in the office, with flexibility to be based in either Edmonton or Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, partnering with hiring leaders to deliver high-quality hiring outcomes across the organization. The hourly rate for this role is $35–$40 per hour, based on experience.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including intake meetings, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer preparation, and onboarding support

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand business needs and provide consultative recruitment support

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and other channels

  • Conduct phone and virtual interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit

  • Coordinate interview schedules and deliver a positive candidate experience

  • Prepare and extend offers in collaboration with internal stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment data within the applicant tracking system

  • Ensure hiring practices comply with employment legislation and company policies

  • Support employer branding initiatives and other recruitment-related projects as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, either in-house or agency

  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities

  • Strong stakeholder partnering and communication skills

  • Experience using Workday as an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • Proficiency sourcing candidates through ATS platforms and LinkedIn Recruiter

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience recruiting in industrial, technical, or heavy equipment environments is an asset
