Reporting to the Division Manager, Trench Shoring, the Trench Shoring Sales Representative will be responsible for direct outside rental sales for trench shoring equipment across The Cat Rental Stores territory of Calgary, southern Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
In this position, you’ll employ a consultative selling approach to build profitable, long-term customer relationships. By renting products that enhance productivity and minimize downtime, you’ll play a crucial role in meeting our customers’ needs.

- Develop and maintain long term strategic relationships with customers by providing consistent, accurate and timely equipment solutions advice
- Evaluate customer needs, promote and sell products and services to meet those needs and provide quality solutions to address customers’ needs
- Develop and maintain client information and data utilizing Finning (Canada)’s CRM software to enable accurate market intelligence, pricing, estimates, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure all sales documents and customer agreements are completed in a consistent, accurate and timely manner
- Produce accurate and timely quotations on customer requirements and negotiate with them to win their business
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and with other teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of consulting sales experience in understanding and applying the basic selling principles; such as, prospecting, introducing benefits, call planning, qualifying, handling objections, follow-ups and closing the sale
- Proven sound mechanical knowledge
- Previous outside rental sales for trench shoring equipment experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous utilization of a customer relationship management tool
- An exceptional track record of customer coverage in a large geographic territory
- Proficient in MS office package
