About the Role:

As an experienced Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of strategies and policies that enable growth while managing risk across our product line. You should have significant experience and subject matter expertise in financial services, end-to-end underwriting lifecycle, and risk assessment. 

You’ll help design and build scalable processes that mitigate risk from new and existing customers. The successful candidate will work closely with members of our sales, data science, product management, and other stakeholders to deliver best in class customer experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage policy, strategy, and operations surrounding underwriting, delinquency and collection initiatives
  • Develop partnerships with sales, operations and product management teams to ensure onboarding, underwriting and collection management processes are timely, seamless and well understood
  • Develop KPIs for managing and assessing the success of Risk processes
  • Efficiently and effectively communicate risk KPIs with stakeholder and leadership teams.
  • Identify and execute on critical initiatives aimed at reducing enterprise risk, while enhancing overall customer experience throughout the customer journey
  • Develop a holistic understanding of the various components of Motive’s business and be able to apply the multidisciplinary thinking to all your analysis and execution 

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience leading Risk Management teams in a high-growth payments or fintech company
  • Functional experience underwriting and/or managing portfolios of small-to- medium sized business in the lending or card space
  • Experience developing and updating policy in response to changing business conditions
  • Familiarity with common business underwriting and risk analysis tools
  • Ability to execute high level objectives into detailed and prioritized plans
  • Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences
  • Strong background working with and drawing conclusions from data, and competency with Excel and other basic analytical tools (SQL experience preferred)
  • Able to work in ambiguous environments under tight and unpredictable timelines
  • Ability to navigate matrix organization while building relationships at all levels of leadership
