Capco is looking for a Lead UX/UI designer with experience in the financial services and technology sector to join our Innovation & Design practice. Any applicants must have extensive UX/UI experience design including leading teams to do innovative and accessible designs reflected in their portfolio.
About the Role
We are a creative team of designers, researchers and copywriters who work with our clients to improve their user experience across customer- and employee-facing apps and online platforms. We work hand-in-hand with technologists and cross-functional teams at Capco and our clients to create wireframes, visual designs and copy that are state-of-the-art and user-friendly based on design research and core design principles. We collaborate constantly to share learnings and brainstorm solutions to lift each other up.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design work in a cross-functional pod consisting of developers, QE specialists, BA’s, BSA’s, business/product stakeholders, etc.
- Work closely with clients and the Innovation & Design team to improve the user experience for customers and employees based on research and testing
- Collaborate across different teams with difference specialities to deliver the best solutions for our clients, solving design problems to reach business goals and timelines
- Lead your team through tough client problems, encourage and coach more junior designers, address and guide our business partners who may not be as experience/design savvy, share your knowledge and encourage innovation
About You
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of industry experience in digital design role.
- Must be willing to work in hours with some overlap with Singapore time zone (SST)
- Ability to lead and mentor junior/intermediate design resources to ensure work is consistent, usable and on time.
- Strong online portfolio demonstrating a range of relevant work in UX, UX research and UI design is essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate team members in a different time zone (GMT+8).
- Experience with project management and digital delivery is a benefit.
- Experience in an agile team environment is a benefit.
- Experience with AI design and technology is a benefit.
- Proficient with industry standard tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Jira, Confluence).
- Strong communications skills to clearly articulate - and evangelize – solutions, investigate problems, and stakeholder management.
- Solid understanding of user experience design principles, research methodology, and activities.
- Ability to oversee the creation, use and maintenance of a design system.
- Strong organizational skills used to estimate, prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with creating interactive prototypes based on user flows.
- A creative imagination coupled with attention to detail to create innovative designs and ensure work is client-ready.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with team and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Has deep subject matter expertise with brand design guidelines and user interface best practices appropriately to create innovative solutions with the team that meet end-user and business needs.
- Is able to tactfully handle and resolve team differences/dynamic conflicts or difficult stakeholders who may challenge design or design thinking.
- Must have understanding of accessible design (A, AA, AAA standards) and understand design testing/auditing reviews.
