What You’ll Do
Davidson & Company LLP is looking to hire an individual with a relevant skillset at the Senior Accountant or Manager level. As part of our Vancouver or Calgary-based Valuations and Advisory team you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the execution of business valuation, litigation support, and advisory engagements for a variety of mandates and purposes including intellectual property valuations, fairness opinions, financial modelling, and purchase price allocations to help clients understand the value of their business.
- Conducting industry, economic, and financial markets research.
- Keeping current on market trends and current valuation issues in order to assess and improve current approaches.
- Preparing cash flow and other valuation models, reports, and memorandums.
- Preparing economic loss quantification models and reports.
- Preparing correspondence, client summaries, and presentations outlining findings, facts and highlights resulting from the client engagement.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality client service by ensuring client needs are responded to in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Monitoring project timelines against targets, adjusting where necessary; advising clients of project status, and seeking clarification on discrepancies where applicable.
- Functioning as a multi-project team member as you develop and learn from our senior valuation professionals.
- Actively supporting our senior valuation professionals in business, corporate development, and marketing initiatives to further drive the growth of the practice.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
As a member of the Valuations and Advisory team, you will possess the following key credentials and attributes:
- CPA designation (or equivalent) required
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (or equivalent) with specialization in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Technically grounded in audit and accounting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player who enjoys working with senior professionals in the delivery of exceptional client service in a collaborative manner.
- Possessing high attention to detail and accuracy.
The following attributes would also be considered assets for the role:
- Possessing, working towards, or being interested in undertaking a finance designation, for example, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Chartered Business Valuator (CBV).
- A background in math and modeling or valuation of financial instruments.
- Experience working in a professional services firm.
- Experience in financial analysis, modeling, and valuations whether gained through audit experience or other avenues.

Let’s Talk Numbers
We believe in transparency and fairness when it comes to compensation. For this role, the annual salary range is $70K - $120K., depending on your experience and what you bring to the table.
