Scription Maintenance, a tech-focused commercial foodservice company, has secured $7.8 million to transform equipment maintenance from hourly rates into a subscription-based model. According to a news release, the Edmonton-based company’s Scription360 program helps restaurant operators by eliminating financial uncertainty and also aligns service companies’ incentives with equipment uptime.

“We’re excited to leverage this capital towards expanding the Scription360 program throughout North America, and to welcome an incredible industry leader, Gerritt Graham, as our new CEO to do it,” Scription Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Justin Villiers said in a statement.

To date, the company has raised $10.35 million from investors such as Markd and IA Capital.
