The Senior Market Design Analyst will engage stakeholders, assess market design alternatives, and communicate options to shape Alberta's electricity market while leveraging expertise in economics or engineering.

Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to develop Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS): draft standards and materials, facilitate stakeholder engagement, monitor NERC/WECC developments, support implementation and compliance, and conduct technical research and analysis.

Lead development, implementation, and sustainment of Alberta Reliability Standards. Facilitate technical working groups, draft standards and stakeholder materials, manage timelines, monitor compliance, represent AESO in industry forums, conduct analysis, and mentor junior staff to deliver large-scale ARS projects.

Develop and execute strategic communications and stakeholder engagement for Alberta's electricity sector. Create and edit clear materials for executives, media, policymakers and the public; support media, crisis and issues management; monitor policy developments; and build relationships across teams and external stakeholders to protect AESO's reputation and advance organizational objectives.
