Leads a remote engineering team building scalable Python and Golang microservices for Canonical’s software distribution marketplaces. Responsibilities include mentoring and developing engineers, managing delivery and expectations, shaping technical strategy and roadmaps, reviewing code, guiding architecture, maintaining engineering quality, and collaborating with product managers, architects, other teams, open-source contributors, and commercial partners.

Develop high-quality, resilient software across Ubuntu and the open source stack, from Linux systems and firmware to cloud, containers, and desktop applications. Contribute to product roadmaps, user experience, code reviews, issue resolution, security, and enterprise requirements. Collaborate remotely with global engineering teams and the open source community, while building expertise in programming languages and Linux systems. Attend international company sprints twice yearly.

This role involves driving revenue growth through strategic relationships and partnerships in Sales and Alliances, focusing on the technology industry.
