Provides legal counsel on Canadian upstream oil and gas matters, including commercial agreements, joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, regulatory compliance, land use, liability management, and dispute resolution. Leads legal due diligence, transaction structuring, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory research, and briefing preparation. Supports multidisciplinary initiatives and participates in the company’s emergency response Incident Support Team.

Leads safe, on-budget, and on-schedule delivery of Canadian thermal heavy oil projects from scoping and design through construction, commissioning, and operational turnover. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering and procurement vendors, performing piping and mechanical design, developing contracting strategies, supporting construction issue resolution, preparing project reports, managing stakeholders, and facilitating Management of Change processes. Requires an APEGA Professional Engineer license and at least eight years of SAGD or oil and gas project experience.

Leads complex joint venture and contract compliance audits across oil and gas operations. Reviews expenditures, transactions, controls, and contracts to identify recoveries, discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities. Manages audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, follow-up, stakeholder communication, and third-party providers. Supports settlements, disputes, investigations, risk assessments, SOX compliance, internal audit initiatives, and technology improvements.

Provides financial leadership and performance reporting for downstream refining operations. Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, gross margin analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, reporting, governance, controls, reconciliations, executive decision support, and finance transformation initiatives. The role partners with refinery, commercial, corporate planning, and executive stakeholders while preparing materials for investor relations, board reporting, and MD&A.

Leads the Reliability Project Implementation team and ensures SAP maintenance data, master data, maintenance plans, approvals, and handover documentation are complete and operationally ready. Manages project and Management of Change intake, prioritization, milestones, risks, data gaps, and stakeholder communication. Coordinates Reliability Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Operations, and Supply Chain through commissioning, startup, and operational handover while mentoring team members and maintaining governance and quality standards.
