Build and enhance Coalition’s underwriting workbench, a data-intensive frontend application used by underwriters. Responsibilities include developing responsive React interfaces, AI-assisted workflows, complex state management, REST API integrations, performance and reliability improvements, reusable components, testing, code reviews, and roadmap contributions. The role partners closely with Product, Design, backend engineers, and underwriters to improve workflows and user outcomes.

Build and deploy AI agents that automate internal business processes. Responsibilities include authoring reusable agent skills, integrating systems through MCP, creating evaluation sets, deploying production workflows with permissions and audit trails, and partnering with data engineers. The role requires translating business processes into reliable agent workflows, supporting deployed agents, and maintaining operational quality using Python, SQL, Git, CI, and containers.

Lead enterprise pricing strategy and actuarial governance for a cyber insurance provider. Develop monitoring dashboards, review complex pricing initiatives, support rating-plan implementation and automation, translate technical concepts for stakeholders, and partner with data science, engineering, security, underwriters, and business teams to optimize data-driven pricing solutions.

Lead design, implementation, and operation of large-scale distributed scanning and data-collection services. Build and maintain services in Python and Go, improve performance, scalability, reliability, and observability, collaborate with security/product/data teams, diagnose production issues, drive architecture and roadmap decisions, and mentor engineers across a distributed team.

Lead design and execution of reinsurance pricing frameworks and actuarial models. Structure and price complex treaties, drive portfolio profitability reviews, set governance controls, collaborate with data science and engineering, and communicate pricing strategy to leadership and external partners.

Lead data-driven underwriting improvements by analyzing claims, risk signals, and underwriting data; build statistical and ML models for cyber risk assessment, pricing, and automation; produce dashboards and reports; collaborate with actuarial, product, and engineering teams; mentor teammates and lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize underwriting and risk selection.

Lead labeling quality and methodology for ML at Coalition: design annotation tasks, define quality frameworks (IAA, gold standards), manage Label Studio and vendor BPOs, partner with ML/data teams, and track operational metrics to improve accuracy and throughput.

Design, build, and operate scalable backend services in Python or Go to power underwriting decisioning. Integrate statistical and ML models, implement APIs (REST, gRPC/GraphQL), ensure observability and testing, lead projects, and collaborate with product, data science, and underwriting teams to automate underwriting workflows.
