Build and operate Ground News’s data platform, including warehouse integrations, scalable dimensional models, analytical layers, and KPI infrastructure. Own ingestion pipelines, data quality, monitoring, incident response, infrastructure as code, and deployment workflows across AWS and GCP. Partner with analysts, ML engineers, and product stakeholders to create reliable, reusable data models and ensure accurate, observable, cost-effective data systems.

Lead technical direction of Ground News web properties to drive subscriber conversion. Own architecture, experimentation infrastructure, migrations (marketing-tech), performance, accessibility, SEO, Core Web Vitals, safe rollout practices, and enable non-engineers to run experiments without engineering support.

Build Google Ads from scratch and scale it into a primary paid channel. Own Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, landing pages, measurement (GA4, conversion tracking, app/web attribution), and partner with agencies and cross-functional teams. Experiment on adjacent paid channels while protecting CAC and subscriber payback.
