Leads electrical engineering and design across project lifecycles, including calculations, power system studies, drawings, specifications, technical reviews, code compliance, field reviews, construction support, commissioning, and client coordination. Supports project scope, budgets, schedules, business development, and mentorship of junior engineers. Requires electrical engineering expertise in oil and gas, EPCM, or related industries, with P.Eng. registration through APEGA.

Creates electrical CAD plans, technical drawings, document packages, and engineering documentation using AutoCAD and 3D design software. Interprets engineering specifications, ensures drawings meet codes and standards, coordinates with design and engineering teams, supports commissioning and project closeout, and monitors personal progress against project budgets and schedules. The role also assists project managers with business development activities.

Manage procurement for engineered equipment and capital projects from FEED through detailed design, bidding, purchase order award, vendor administration, inspection, expediting, logistics, and closeout. Coordinate with engineering, project management, client supply chain teams, vendors, inspectors, and logistics providers. Prepare RFQs, commercial bid evaluations, purchase recommendations, procurement tracking, formal correspondence, and purchase order documentation while identifying commercial, schedule, quality, and delivery risks.

Designs and supports instrumentation, communication, and controls systems for oil and gas EPC projects. Responsibilities include developing instrument data sheets, specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, control narratives, P&IDs, and network diagrams; working with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and safety systems; reviewing vendor documents; participating in HAZOP, PHA, and SIL studies; supporting regulatory applications, estimating, scheduling, field activities, and client coordination; and mentoring junior staff.

Provides mechanical engineering expertise for oil and gas and infrastructure projects, including piping design, material selection, calculations, drawings, estimates, technical reviews, and code compliance. Manages scope, budgets, schedules, documentation, and client coordination while mentoring junior engineers and supporting proposals and business development. Requires APEGA professional designation, mechanical engineering experience, and knowledge of CSA, ASME, and API standards. The role is based in Edmonton or Calgary with occasional field travel.

Performs electrical design for energy industry projects, including single-line diagrams, layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, panel schedules, and equipment details. Coordinates design activities, supports budgets and proposals, mentors junior designers, analyzes technical issues, and ensures project objectives, schedules, and budgets are met. Requires extensive Canadian oil and gas experience, expert AutoCAD skills, knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, and familiarity with industry standards and document management. Site travel may be required.
