Designs and supports instrumentation, communication, and controls systems for oil and gas EPC projects. Responsibilities include developing instrument data sheets, specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, control narratives, P&IDs, and network diagrams; working with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and safety systems; reviewing vendor documents; participating in HAZOP, PHA, and SIL studies; supporting regulatory applications, estimating, scheduling, field activities, and client coordination; and mentoring junior staff.

Creates and modifies electrical CAD plans, technical drawings, and documentation for oil and gas and EPCM projects. Interprets engineering specifications, ensures compliance with electrical codes and project standards, coordinates with design and engineering teams, completes documentation packages, supports commissioning and project closeout, and tracks progress against budgets and schedules. The role also assists project managers and client account managers with business development activities.

Provides mechanical engineering expertise for oil and gas and infrastructure projects, including piping design, material selection, calculations, drawings, estimates, technical reviews, and code compliance. Manages scope, budgets, schedules, documentation, and client coordination while mentoring junior engineers and supporting proposals and business development. Requires APEGA professional designation, mechanical engineering experience, and knowledge of CSA, ASME, and API standards. The role is based in Edmonton or Calgary with occasional field travel.
