Frequently Asked Questions

Workload Sustainability

NetBox Labs moves fast, and we’re transparent about that from the start. The good news? Ownership comes with autonomy. People have flexibility in how they structure their week, protect time for focused work, and take time off when they need it.
As a fully remote team working across time zones, much of our work happens asynchronously. We’re also deliberate about scope, guided by our “Keep It Simple” value, so teams stay focused on the work that matters most without spreading themselves too thin.

Flexibility Options

NetBox Labs has been remote-first from the beginning, with a team spanning multiple countries and time zones. There is no central office, and where someone works does not affect their visibility or opportunities.

People can arrange their working day around their lives, including school runs, appointments, and caregiving. Teams agree on the overlap needed to collaborate effectively, with the rest left to individual judgment. We balance remote work with intentional time together through an annual company gathering and team off-sites focused on collaboration, learning, and relationship building.

Mental Health Support

At NetBox Labs, mental health and wellbeing are supported through the everyday experience of work. Trust, clear priorities, and control over your schedule form the foundation. Managers stay close to their teams through regular 1:1s, while company-wide culture surveys help surface pressure points before they go unspoken.

Interest-based Slack communities, virtual coffee chats, group lunches, and annual offsites give people opportunities to build relationships beyond their immediate teams.

We provide free access to Talkspace, an online counseling and therapy platform for US-based employees.

The common thread is trust. NetBox Labs hires people who take ownership and gives them the autonomy to do their best work. That trust is reflected in flexible schedules, asynchronous collaboration, and decisions being made by the people closest to the work.

Autonomy also depends on open communication, accountability, and following through on commitments. The pace is fast, and we’re candid about that from the beginning. For people who value both meaningful ownership and flexibility, NetBox Labs offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career without giving up the rest of their lives.
