Design and build the Neki control plane to provision, scale, and heal sharded PostgreSQL clusters. Implement high-availability, disaster recovery, backup/restore, and migration tooling. Operate distributed, fault-tolerant services on Kubernetes, participate in on-call rotations, and work with customers to translate workloads into platform improvements.

Contribute to PostgreSQL core and maintain extensions, author patches, engage with the PostgreSQL community, and troubleshoot issues affecting Planetscale customers.

As a Software Engineer on the Surfaces team, you'll develop user-facing UIs, CLIs, and APIs for PlanetScale's database platform, focusing on enhancing user experience and solving challenges in database management.
