Lead the design and delivery of a core software platform area, such as data systems, cloud infrastructure, or internal and customer-facing tools. Provide technical direction, review designs and code, mentor engineers, establish scalable and reliable architecture, and manage the full development lifecycle through production. Collaborate with autonomy and robotics teams on data interfaces, uphold security and reliability standards, and support hiring and roadmap planning.

Lead autonomy engineering for construction robots installing solar racking systems. Own perception, planning, or controls from architecture and development through field deployment. Lead technical direction for a small autonomy team, review designs and code, mentor engineers, make hardware-software architecture decisions, and manage roadmap, releases, monitoring, and iteration. Regularly travel to the West Texas deployment site to validate performance and drive software improvements.

Lead the mechanical, electrical, and systems design of robotics subsystems from prototype through production. Direct a small team of hardware engineers, make architecture decisions, integrate controls and sensors, manage BOMs and suppliers, reduce costs, and improve field reliability. The role requires regular travel between a San Francisco robotics facility and a West Texas deployment site to resolve failures and implement design fixes.
