We are looking for an Advisor, Ethics & Compliance to support the execution and continuous improvement of our regulatory compliance management program. In this role, you will help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental protection, security, and operational reliability. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple business units, you will play a key role in monitoring regulatory changes, managing compliance processes, and driving effective governance practices.

What You Will Do:
  • Support the implementation and governance of Compliance Management processes, including Legal Register Management, Regulatory Management of Change (RMOC), Regulatory Enforcement Actions, and Permit & Compliance Management processes across Enbridge business units.

  • Monitor and assess changes to legislation, regulations, standards, safety advisories, directives, and other regulatory requirements that may impact Enbridge operations.

  • Prepare and maintain RMOC records by developing regulatory change summaries, assembling supporting documentation, and identifying potential business impacts for stakeholder review. Support timely completion of RMOC response through tracking and performance management activities.

  • Communicate regulatory updates and RMOC dashboard insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Manage and maintain compliance data within EnCompass, including legal requirements, control mapping, task management, reporting, and dashboard development.

  • Support legal register reviews and compliance assessments, identifying potential compliance risks and opportunities for improvement across business units.

  • Deliver stakeholder training, contribute to process documentation updates, and identify opportunities to enhance compliance management tools, processes, and reporting capabilities.

Who You Are:
  • University degree or technical diploma in Business, Policy, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, combined with relevant professional experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, governance, risk management, or related functions, preferably within the pipeline, energy, or utility industries.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently evaluate regulatory changes and assess business impacts.

  • Demonstrated experience working with databases, compliance systems, and reporting tools, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management platforms (i.e., Maximo, EnCompass assets).

  • Highly organized, self-motivated professional with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders, and deliver training to diverse audiences.

  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory interpretation, compliance frameworks, and U.S. federal and state regulatory environments is considered an asset.

Working Conditions:
  • Typical Office environment.

  • Occasional travel to Enbridge office locations.

  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires balancing competing priorities and working with multiple business partners across the organization.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:
  • Ranges from $82,000 – $105,000 CDA for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Ranges from $80,500 – $105,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
