Job Description

AltaGas - Lead Financial Analyst, Treasury
The Lead Financial Analyst Treasury will be critical in our treasury team, focusing on currency derivatives, interest derivatives, rating agencies, and debt capital markets. This position requires a deep understanding of financial instruments and markets and strong analytical and communication skills.
You Will:

  • Analyze and manage currency and interest rate derivatives to optimize financial performance

  • Conduct thorough assessments of rating agencies’ methodologies and their impact on our financial strategies

  • Develop and implement strategies for debt capital markets, including issuance and management of debt securities

  • Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations on financial matters

  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimize financial strategies

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

You Have:

  • 8+ Years years of experience in financial analysis, with a deep focus on currency derivatives, rating agencies, and debt capital markets

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools

  • Excellent analytical, complex problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and market trends

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • CFA or CPA preferred

  • Experience with regulated utilities preferred
