AltaGas - Senior Account Manager, Distillate Marketing
Enerchem, an AltaGas company, is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Account Manager to support the growth of our distillate business. This role is ideal for a technically experienced field professional who enjoys client engagement and is ready to contribute to ambitious sales goals while maintaining Enerchem’s strong, collaborative culture.
This position includes field travel to support customers, understand market dynamics, and identify new opportunities.
You Will:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Understand and articulate the performance, application, and benefits of Enerchem distillate products used in drilling, well stimulation, completions, and surface equipment
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers, including field-based support when required
Identify, pursue, and develop new sales opportunities through market research and industry engagement
Promote Enerchem distillate products and support broader sales and marketing initiatives
Negotiate contracts and finalize commercial agreements that deliver value for both Enerchem and our clients
Gather customer feedback and work collaboratively with internal teams to support product improvement and issue resolution
Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance updates for management
Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, sales activity, and technical support provided
Collaborate effectively with sales, operations, and technical teams to achieve shared objectives
You Have:
5+ years of experience in oil & gas field service, specifically working with refined distillates for drilling, completions, and surface equipment performance
A strong understanding of oil & gas operations and customer needs in the field
Previous sales experience or demonstrated experience supporting sales and marketing objectives (preferred, not required)
Secondary education in chemistry or a related discipline (preferred, not required)
Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, and Power BI
The ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and flexibility to travel, within reason, to support urgent business needs or gather market intelligence
