As our Client Integration Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind setting up our clients for long-term success. You’ll lead the transition process from the moment a client signs on, guiding them through a tailored onboarding experience and ensuring they’re confidently integrated into Treewalk’s systems, tools, and workflows.

This role combines client-facing leadership, project management, and hands-on accounting knowledge. You’ll collaborate with bookkeepers, controllers, and our AI Solutions team to deliver an onboarding experience that is both efficient and thoughtful—creating clarity for clients and internal teams alike. What will your days look like
 

  • Own the onboarding experience for new clients, ensuring a seamless, timely transition onto Treewalk’s accounting systems and processes.
  • Set clear expectations and deliverables with clients, creating a tailored onboarding plan and sharing regular updates.
  • Identify and resolve onboarding challenges, including hands-on cleanup of accounting records when needed.
  • Understand each client’s business deeply, assess internal resourcing, and define long-term deliverables and success metrics.
  • Build customized workflows that meet client needs while aligning with Treewalk’s best practice, partnering with our AI Solutions team to implement and optimize automation tools for each client.
  • Lead the onboarding team, managing priorities and timelines while offering feedback and support.
  • Collect and act on client feedback, continuously improving satisfaction and engagement during the onboarding phase.
  • Continuously improve internal onboarding processes and tools to support scale and efficiency across the firm.

Treewalk is an advisory practice based out of downtown Vancouver specializing in financial reporting and corporate services for public companies. We offer clients a complete service package to assist them in timely and accurate disclosures. Our clients are from all industry sectors and are issuers on the TSX-V, CSE, NASDAQ, and the OTC. 

We are one of the fastest growing accounting firms in Canada, and we’ve got some big goals that are going to send us to the top. We are a firm with an anti-firm culture - think tech start-up, but accounting. We’re ditching the traditional top-down management hierarchy approach and are leaning into a holacratic system of organizational governance. We are on a journey to become the go-to training place for accountants of all levels who want to work in industry. Our accounting practice specializes in assisting both public and private companies with their financial reporting and accounting needs and helping those that are, or are going, public to stay public. When it comes to clients, we are industry-agnostic. We never shy away from clients in new and emergent industries, and we’ve worked with companies in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, cannabis, mining, and biotechnology, to name a few. Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate… 

  • 3+ years of accounting experience; CPA designation is an asset but not required.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, internal finance processes, and month-end deliverables.
  • Experience with cloud-based tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Plooto, and others.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset—you love problem-solving and improving systems.
  • Outstanding client-facing skills and a track record of delivering high-touch service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident leading client conversations.
  • Curiosity and follow-through—you dig into the details and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Experience managing projects or teams is a strong asset.

Success in this role looks like

  • New clients are fully transitioned within 90 days.
  • Internal teams are equipped with clear documentation and expectations.
  • Client satisfaction with onboarding consistently scores 9+/10.
  • The onboarding process becomes more scalable, streamlined, and client-friendly each quarter.

Salary  

$85,000 for CPAs, $70,000 for accounting experience
