Diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko using C++ and Rust, including security issues. Develop and land tested fixes, participate in code reviews, manage the WebGL bug queue, and improve Firefox graphics functionality. Browser-engine, Gecko, security research, or fuzzing experience is preferred.
The role
You will diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko and improve its functionality and security within the Firefox graphics team.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko (C++/Rust), including security bugs
- Write tests, work through code review with graphics module owners, and land fixes, with uplifts where needed.
- Keep the ongoing WebGL bug queue under control
Reviewed WebGL fixes and new code landed with tests
Required qualifications- Strong C++ (Rust a plus).
- Graphics / GPU experience, ideally WebGL.
- Security mindset, and comfort with sandbox and IPC architectures (WebGL is a security target).
- Strong debugging in a multithreaded codebase.
- Prior browser-engine / Gecko experience.
- Security research or fuzzing experience.
